flunearyou.org shows you where outbreaks are occurring.

Flu Near You is a site administered by Healthmap of Boston Children’s Hospital in partnership with the American Public Health Association and the Skoll Global Threats Fund.

Similar to the European service, Influenzanet written about recently on this blog, Flunearyou.org allows you to:

  •  See flu activity in your area
  •  Find nearby locations offering flu vaccines
  •  Complete quick surveys to advance our collective understanding of the flu
  •  Visualize flu trends
  •  Connect with local public health organizations

Flunearyou also has a search function to identify locations where you can get immunized for

  • Flu
  • Hepatitis A
  • Hepatitis B
  • HPV (Human Papilloma Virus)
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
  • Shingles
  • Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Whooping cough)
  • Td (Tetanus, Diphtheria)

  • Varicella

The more people who sign up, the more information we will all have about the spread of influenza in the U.S. Only enough information to determine location and age of consent are required to sign up.
