It’s Saturday of NSWPW, which means the theme is Just the Beginning
This week, you learned how to take the next step in severe weather preparedness by knowing your risk, being prepared and inspiring others
While National Severe Weather Preparedness Week is over, the need to be prepared is not. Tornadoes, thunderstorms, blizzards, hurricanes and other disasters do not arrive when it’s most convenient for us. An emergency can happen anytime. Be a Force of Nature by being prepared for the worst.
Severe weather preparedness in your state
In addition to National Severe Weather Preparedness Week, many states have their own severe weather preparedness weeks. Check the Weather Awareness Events Calendar to find yours.
Other weather preparedness weeks
Different times of the year bring different weather dangers. In addition to National Severe Weather Preparedness Week, we encourage you to be prepared by participating in the following national awareness and preparedness weeks:
Flood Awareness Week Tsunami Awareness Week Zombie Apocalypse Awareness Week Air Quality Awareness Week Safe Boating Week Heat Awareness Day Hurricane Preparedness Week Rip Current Awareness Week Lightning Safety Awareness Week |
