The CDC has released a fact sheet on safety levels of the chemicals released into the water supply in West Virginia. The main chemical is MHCM (4-methylcyclohexanemethanol), and there were also trace amounts of a chemical known as PPH, which is “a proprietary mixture of polyglycol ethers (PPH).”
